Planes, cars, and motorcycles. One Saturday on the museum grass.
Wheels, Wings, and Warbirds is a free day at Texas Air Museum on Slaton Municipal Airport (F49) for anyone who loves machines. Pilots fly in. Neighbors drive in their cars and trucks and ride in on their bikes. The museum's warbirds are already out on the grass.
Walk around, look close, and talk shop with the people who built, restored, and fly them. It is not an airshow. The good stuff is parked where you can walk right up to it.

Three kinds of machines, one field. Here is what you will find.
Fly in to F49
Pilots, come on in. Talk on CTAF 123.0, taxi to the north ramp, and park where they point you. Display arrival is free.

Texas Air Museum keeps its warbirds on this field. Walk the grass, step into the hangar, and see them up close.
Plan your visitCar and motorcycle photos are stand-ins until we have pictures from the day. The aircraft photos are the museum's own.

Showing off what you have is free. Park where they point you.

Cars and trucks park in the show area on the grass. Display is free. Be paid and in the judged row by 11:00 if you want it judged.
Ride it in
Motorcycles park in the show area with the cars. Same free display, same $20 judged row, same 11:00 cutoff.
October 10
The day
Public hours are 10 AM to 2 PM. Here is how it runs.
- 10:00 AM Public hours start. Walk in free.
- 11:00 AM Judged row closes. Paid and parked, or display only.
- 12:00 PM Three judges walk the row until 1:00.
- 2:00 PM Public hours end.
- 3:00 PM Show vehicles clear.

Free admission
No ticket. If a donation jar is out, it is optional, and donations stay with the museum.
Getting there
12102 FM 400 #34, Slaton, TX
Texas Air Museum is at the north end of Slaton Municipal Airport (F49). From Lubbock, take US-84 to Slaton and head for FM 400.
